Deployment of Fuel Cell Vehicles and Hydrogen Refueling Station Infrastructure: A Global Overview and Perspectives

نویسندگان

چکیده

Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles can complement other electric vehicle technologies as a zero-emission technology and contribute to global efforts achieve the emission reduction targets. This article spotlights current deployment status of cells in road transport. For this purpose, data collection was performed by Advanced Fuel Cells Technology Collaboration Programme. Moreover, available incentives for purchasing different countries were reviewed future perspectives summarized. Based on collected information, development trends last five years analyzed possible further that could see realization defined goals derived. The number registered estimated be 51,437 units, with South Korea leading market, 90% being concentrated four countries. A total 729 hydrogen refueling stations operation, Japan having highest these. analysis results clearly indicate very positive trend 2021, new single year, paralleling year’s overall economic recovery. Yet, more ambitious ramp-up coming is required set

An optimization framework for cost effective design of refueling station infrastructure for alternative fuel vehicles

Historically, gasoline and diesel fuels have been used for transportation, but the possible decline of oil supplies in the future is forcing nations to consider alternative fuels. Most technically and economically feasible alternative fuels have a lower energy density than gasoline, which results in a shorter range for these vehicles. This necessitates a greater need for convenient access to re...

Behavioral Response to Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles and Refueling: Results of California Drive Clinics

Over the last several decades, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) have emerged as a zero tailpipe-emission alternative to the battery electric vehicle (EV). To address questions about consumer reaction to FCVs, this report presents the results of a “ride-and-drive” clinic series (n=182) held in 2007 with a Mercedes-Benz A-Class “F-Cell” hydrogen FCV. The clinic evaluated participant reactions t...

Refueling problem of alternative fuel vehicles under intuitionistic fuzzy refueling waiting times: a fuzzy approach

Using alternative fuel vehicles is one of the ways to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels which have many negative environmental effects. An alternative fuel vehicle needs special planning for its refueling operations because of some reasons, e.g. limited number of refueling stations, uncertain refueling queue times in the stations, variable alternative fuel prices among the stations, etc. I...

Modeling technology diffusion of complementary goods: The case of hydrogen vehicles and refueling infrastructure

Hydrogen has emerged as a possible transportation fuel for addressing long-term, sustainable energy supply, security, and environmental problems. Yet, there are a number of barriers that need to be overcome if hydrogen vehicles are ever to penetrate transportation markets, not the least of which is the development of a vehicle–infrastructure system. Hydrogen vehicles and refueling infrastructur...

Behavioral Response to Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles and Refueling: a Comparative Analysis of Short- and Long-term Exposure

Over the last several decades, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) have emerged as a zero tailpipe-emission alternative to the battery electric vehicle (EV). There are key questions about consumer reaction and response to operations and refueling of FCVs. This paper presents the results of a “ride-and-drive” clinic series (n=182) held in 2007 with a Mercedes-Benz A-Class “F-Cell” hydrogen FCV. T...
